Quality Analyst, Hardware Operations

As a member of the Supply Chain and Engineering Operations team, the Quality Analyst owns the processes and communication with customers and vendors in relation to material quality issues, supplier and Brain Corp product change notices, production part acceptance, and first article inspection documentation. The role involves overall responsibility for managing and coordinating return material authorization activities, following up on material review board disposition and overseeing supplier surveys. 

Please note, this role requires working onsite 5 days a week.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish effective and efficient warranty program processes according to customer and supplier contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead material review board (MRB) meetings with representatives from Operations and Engineering, coordinate the testing, failure analysis and the disposition of materials.
  • Organize, plan and perform tasks associated with Brain Corp’s quality management processes, including MRB disposition and non-conformance report (NCR), return to vendor (RTV) activities, and all return material authorization (RMA) activities. Provide oversight and guidance to team members assisting with quality management processes. Track and ensure the materials are in their proper locations (Physical and System)
  • Apply metrics and continuous improvement techniques to ensure effective and efficient quality program processes to drive key performance improvements.
  • Own customer product complaint system. Act as the main point of contact for receiving, processing, and reporting of customer product complaints.
    • Manage product replacement to customers: Issue RMA and follow up on replacement activities
    • Follow up with production and shipping for product replacement readiness
    • Enter data and publish reports on complaint trends
    • Ensure complaint files are stored according to procedure
    • Participate in internal audits as required
  • Receive, process and drive the completion of Brain internal production part acceptance process (PPAP), including communicating both  internally and externally, managing first article inspections process and conducting external supplier quality audits
  • Ensure Brain Corp employees understand and follow appropriate quality procedures as required
  • Review, enter and maintain supplier surveys and related electronic records, as required
  • Coordinate supplier product change notice (PCN) requests between the supplier, Brain Corp and the appropriate customer as required 
  • Own the data collection systems from various quality inputs. Trend data related to quality issues, prepare and publish metrics, as assigned
  • Maintain supplier quality records in Arena, 1Factory and other related software programs.
  • Lead the annual equipment calibration process and keep the records updated.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 3-year quality experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing quality program operations with a technical background

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • In-depth knowledge of operational processes, quality control, and project management, including experience in Quality, Customer Complaint Handling, MRB, Supplier/Customer RMAs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners
  • Provenexperience using a customer-centric approach to develop and manage partner relationships (OEM, contract manufacturer, supplier, customer)
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of Electronic Quality Systems 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment,willing to learn supply chain processes and support colleagues when required.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a commitment to achieving and maintaining high performance standards
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Work Environment:

The worker is subject to hazards that include a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $33.59 - $43.47 per hour.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
