Position Summary:

The Staff Product Manager will identify market problems, go-to-market strategies, and align with meaningful use cases and outcomes for our robotic AI technology BrainOS® and associated product lines.

Brain Corp is a customer-obsessed company and our product managers engage directly with our customers (end-users and manufacturers) to understand problems and define opportunities. The Staff Product Manager will also partner closely with engineering, program management and other stakeholders to increase customer delight, drive sales and deliver the right business outcomes. The Staff Product Manager will work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative start-up like environment.

The ideal candidate is excited about developing bleeding-edge technology for an emerging market, is both technical and business-oriented, and is motivated to ensure that Brain Corp remains a market leader in the autonomous mobile space.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help lead Brain Corp’s product vision, strategy, and development across our robotic AI technology BrainOS® and associated product lines
  • Engage directly with our customers (adopters, end-users and manufacturers) to understand problems and define opportunities
  • Build quantitative and qualitative use cases to drive new products, features, service proposals, and market expansion plans.
  • Collaboratively develop the necessary requirements to focus and clarify “the what and the why”
  • Prioritize product requirements, and develop and manage roadmaps to increase customer satisfaction, meet key milestones and achieve business OKRs.
  • Collaborate with program management, UX design, product engineering, and market-facing teams across the organization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of product releases and proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Work directly with US and international channel partner’s technical and business teams to launch and support Brain Corp technology on a range of robotics.
  • Be an active participant in customer management, sales and marketing initiatives, to support new product offerings.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

What you need:

  • 5-8 years of hands-on product management / product development experience (with the proven ability to perform in a senior level role).
  • Focused on customer-centricity in all decisions and outcomes
  • Prior experience building, launching and managing successful B2B products.
  • Experience with retail merchandising operations and optimization strategies including pricing and promotional, planning and execution, cost & deals, category management and competitive planning.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional areas (sales, marketing, product development, engineering, operations)
  • Experience in retail operations strategy, customer experience, retail technology, business continuity, brand governance, and continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience designing culture and customer experience strategy
  • Experience in omnichannel merchandising processes and systems.
  • Enthusiastic, excited and adaptable
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills
  • Resilient and flexible mindset that gravitates to problem solving and decision making
  • Willingness and ability to roll up sleeves and get into the details is a must.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international sites

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Sound level may be elevated at times at customer locations.

Employees are exposed to the typical office environment with computers, printers and telephones but also expected to travel to customer locations which include retail stores and warehouses. The installation, setup and testing of our product occur during business off-hours. Therefore, when traveling to customer sites the employee can expect to work either late in the evening (9 p.m. to 2 a.m.) or early in the morning (3 to 8 a.m.). Domestic & international travel up to 30% required.

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego, California is $131,643.75 to $170,363. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Brain Corp is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
