Brain Corp is excited to be recognized in CB Insights’ inaugural Retail Tech 100 list, which highlights innovative, future-forward companies reimagining the traditional retail experience and helping retailers adapt to a post-COVID-19 world. The honor was given to 100 of the “most promising B2B retail tech companies in the world,” with Brain Corp listed in the Store Operations & Analytics category.

The finalists were chosen from more than 15,000 applicants and nominees, based on a number of factors, including patent activity, market potential, team strength, tech novelty, and proprietary scoring, according to CB Insights, a market research and technology company. Altogether, the 100 companies named to the list have raised a total of $14.8 billion in total equity funding.

“This recognition validates the hard work we have put in with our manufacturing partners to deliver the best robotic solutions possible for our retail end customers,” said Dr. Eugene M. Izhikevich, Brain Corp CEO. “We are proud that our BrainOS-powered robots are helping retailers improve their cleaning efficiency and give valuable time back to over-extended workers during the ongoing health crisis.”

Through the first nine months of the year, robotic scrubbers enabled by Brain Corp generated 2.4 million hours of additional productivity at US retail locations, according to company data.

Brain Corp currently powers more than 14,000 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) worldwide, including autonomous floor scrubbers, vacuums, delivery tugs, and shelf scanners. This represents the largest fleet of its kind operating in commercial, high-traffic public spaces such as retail, grocery, airports, and malls. Select retail customers include Walmart, Kroger, Sam’s Club, Schnucks, and Giant Eagle.

The CB Insights recognition is the latest in a series of accolades for Brain Corp this fall. In October, ABI Research, a leading research company that covers the global robotics industry, listed Brain Corp as a deployment leader for AMRs, after naming the company a top autonomy solution provider the year before. Last month, Brain Corp was named a top workplace by The San Diego Union-Tribune.
