Sorana Petersen

Sorana Petersen joined Brain Corp as the Vice President of Human Resources in March 2023 and leads all functions of HR and Talent Management. Her extensive experience in training, leadership development, and business operations provides a balanced and thoughtful approach to establishing and executing a people first culture. 

Sorana has held various leadership and executive HR roles at both privately held and public companies. Most recently she was the Senior Director of Human Resources for Best Buy Health – a division of Best Buy enterprise focused on leveraging technology to enable care in the home.  Prior to Best Buy, Sorana served as the Vice President of Human Resources at GreatCall where she led the human resources, training, quality assurance, and organizational development functions.

Sorana received a Bachelors of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from HRCI. She is also a certified Executive Coach through the UC Berkeley Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. She resides in San Diego with her husband and two boys, ages eleven and eight.
